What is Laser Hair Removal and how does it work?
Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses a laser to remove unwanted hair. During a laser hair removal treatment, the laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. The light energy is then converted to heat, damaging the hair follicles within the skin, thus preventing or delaying future hair growth.
While Laser Hair Removal does not completely get rid of hair, it does provide a 50-95% reduction of new hair, with the new hair that grows being finer and easier to manage.
What are the benefits of Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal treatments are much more quick than you might expect. Smaller areas like the underarms or upper lip will take about 10-15 minutes, areas like the full face or bikini area can take about 20-30 minutes, and larger areas like full legs can take up tp 2 hours. The larger the area, the more time the treatment will take, but you don’t have to expect to be in the spa all day.
You’ll save more money in the long run. By getting laser hair removal treatments done, you eliminate the need for endless amounts of shaving cream, razors, or waxing appointments. Laser hair removal is financially smarter, and will give you a longer lasting result.
Laser hair removal can prevent ingrown hairs. It’s one of the best solutions for those that find themselves suffering from ingrown hairs and don’t want to risk having it removed. Laser hair removal is also a good option for people who sensitive skin and have skin irritation after shaving or waxing.
Unlike with waxing, you can shave in between your LHR treatments. You don’t have to worry about waiting to grow your hair out for your next waxing appointment. With LHR, you can shave as much as you want in between each session.
How should you prepare for a Laser Hair Removal treatment?
Before booking for a LHR treatment, it’s important to speak with your doctor to ensure you’re a good candidate for the treatment. You should also limit waxing, plucking, tweezing, or electrolysis for at least a month before your LHR treatment because the roots of the hair are temporarily removed when you have them waxed or plucked, and the laser targets this area. We would also recommend shaving the area you’ll be getting treated before you come in for your appointment to see best results.
How does Laser Tattoo Removal work?
In a Laser Tattoo Removal Treatment, the laser removes the tattoo by breaking up the larger ink particles with a high-intensity light beam. These ink particles are broken up into pieces small enough for white blood cells to absorb them. Black ink is typically the easiest color to remove, because it absorbs light more than other colors.
Factors such as color, age, and density of the ink can affect how many sessions are needed for tattoo removal. Older tattoos tend to need less sessions than newer ones because the ink particles weaken over time, making it easier to break down. Skin type is also a factor when performing Laser Tattoo Removal. Since darker skin types have more melanin, certain colors of ink are not able to be targeted. Black ink is safe to treat on all skin types, however, extra precaution will be taken for those with more pigment in their skin to avoid any damage.
While the amount of Laser Tattoo Removal sessions needed can vary from person to person, we typically recommend starting with anywhere from 4-6 sessions.
What are the benefits to Laser Tattoo Removal?
Unlike some other tattoo removal procedures that involve “sanding” the skin, Laser Tattoo Removal does not interfere with your healthy skin cells. The laser sends energy beneath your skin without damaging its surface, ensuring that your skin won’t be scarred.
2. After a Laser Tattoo Removal treatment, it’s important to protect your skin for a few days after. A small amount of redness and tenderness is normal, but these effects go down within a few days of the treatment. Ultimately, the recovery time for this treatment is minimal.
3. Laser Tattoo Removal is one of the safest ways to remove tattoos. Since Laser Tattoo Removal is a non-invasive procedure, the risk of infection is very minimal. Our technicians will also provide you with the correct safety measures during and after the procedure.
What to Expect during a Tattoo Removal session
You will be given a pair of protective eye shields.
The technician will test your skin’s reaction to the laser to determine the most effective energy for treatment. For the first session of tattoo removal we will not be able to use numbing cream before the treatment, as we are required to see how your skin reacts first. After the first session, numbing is available if interested.
The technician will use the laser to pass pulses of intense light through the top layers of your skin that will be absorbed by the tattoo pigment only.
After the treatment, you may use an ice pack to soothe the treated the area if needed. We recommend applying an antibiotic cream or ointment and bandage to protect it. It’s also important to be sure it’s covered with sunblock when outside.
What is Cavi Lipo and how does it work?
Cavi Lipo, also known as Ultrasonic Cavitation, is a cosmetic procedure that uses ultrasonic radio waves to break apart fat deposits in your body. This treatment is meant to target small areas of fat to help contour your body. Cavi Lipo is non invasive, but still as effective as other surgical options like Liposuction. Results from this treatment will be permanent, so long as you maintain a healthy diet and exercise often.
What are the benefits of Cavi Lipo?
Unlike Liposuction, Cavi Lipo is a non invasive treatment that doesn’t require any surgical procedures. No anesthesia or incisions are needed for this treatment, ensuring a safe and pain free recovery.
Cavi Lipo is a natural treatment that uses low level ultrasonic waves to break down and liquify fat cells in the body, while keeping the surrounding tissues intact. Once the fat cells have been turned into a liquid, they’ll be eliminated from your system using your body’s own natural elimination process.
Our Cavi Lipo treatment is completely painless. You shouldn’t experience any discomfort during or after the treatment. At most, you might feel a slight warming sensation from the ultrasound wand.
Results from Cavi Lipo are often visible very almost right away. Optimal results can start to show as soon as three days after your treatment.
How should you prepare for a Cavi Lipo treatment?
Be sure to let us know of any medical conditions you might have, herbal supplements, or medications that you take.
We advise that you refrain from drinking any alcohol for at least 48 hours before your appointment
Please drink plenty of water before and after your appointment.
What to expect after your Cavi Lipo treatment
While Cavi Lipo is considered a low risk treatment for most people, it’s normal to experience some side effects such as: redness, bruising, or headache. However, pain and bruising are usually very minimal. We encourage you to hydrate as much as possible after a Cavi Lipo treatment to help your body flush the fat cells through your lymphatic system.
What is HIEMS (Emsculpt) and how does it work?
HIEMS is a non invasive body sculpting procedure that builds muscle while also reducing unwanted fat. It does this by using high intensity focused electromagnetic energy that is channeled through large paddles. This results in muscle contractions that are induced at a rate of about 20,000 contractions per 30 minutes, equivalent to doing 20,000 crunches in 30 minutes!
How to prepare for a HIEMS treatment?
We recommend to avoid eating an hour prior to your appointment for a more comfortable treatment.
What are the benefits to HIEMS?
Treatments are relatively quick, lasting only about 30 minutes each session. This makes it very convenient to do, even on your busiest of days!
This treatment is non invasive and easy to do. Pain is minimal with the HIEMS; the feeling of the electromagnetic pulse that goes into the muscle can vary between a tickling feeling to a minor contraction-like feeling.
Typically, results for this treatment will be visibly seen following the third or fourth session. Further visible results will be seen and continue to improve several weeks after the third or fourth session.
After 6 HIEMS sessions
What is Radio Frequency Skin Tightening and how does it work?
Radio Frequency Skin Tightening is a non invasive treatment that uses a wand to apply radio waves to the skin. These waves give off heat, prompting the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, which will result in firmer and thicker skin over time. This treatment is a safe and effective anti-aging treatment with minimal discomfort. Although this treatment is most popular for the face and neck area, it can be used for various different areas such as the arms, stomach, legs, or back.
What are the benefits of Radio Frequency Skin Tightening?
Body and face contouring is the main benefit of RF. Radio Frequency Skin Tightening is proven to be an effective nonsurgical method of slimming the body or face by stimulating the production of collagen.
RF treatments also works efficiently in softening fine lines. Because RF promotes collagen and elastin production, old and damaged skin will be replaced by new skin cells that are naturally healthy and firm. With each session, you’ll notice a gradual difference of more healthy and younger looking skin.
While some facial treatments might only temporarily stimulate facial muscles, RF is meant to provide long lasting results. Because RF triggers the skin’s internal healing process, your results can continue up to 2 years.
Our RF treatments only take up to an hour, at most. Although the duration of the treatment depends on the area you’re getting treated, RF typically takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour for larger areas.
What to expect after your Radio Frequency treatment
There may be redness or swelling after your treatment, so we advise you to be extra careful with the treated area. Redness or swelling should go down within the next 24 hours of your appointment.
Try to reduce excessive perspiration and avoid sun exposure. Sunscreen should be applied at all times, both before and after the appointment, to reduce the risk of color change.
